A year sounds like a long time until you live it.
Think about the last twelve months. Odds are they went by in a blur of meetings, holidays, family stuff, a few unexpected twists, and a lot of ordinary days. We convince ourselves that big change takes years and that our future selves are forever far away, but the truth is, every single day is a deposit. Every decision is a brick.
Most people only push themselves as far as what currently feels possible. We dream in the neighborhood of our confidence. If we do not think we have access to certain opportunities or certain circles, we pretend we do not want them.
Imagine a version of you accomplishing things you have not even allowed yourself to picture. The kind of wins that make your younger self fist pump in the air. There is something thrilling about becoming someone you did not even know you could be.
Fulfillment does not arrive as a gift. It is earned through discomfort and change and curiosity and a willingness to take the first step, even when you do not have a roadmap.
The next twelve months are going to shape you whether you are intentional or not. You can coast. You can stay busy without moving forward. You can replay the same routines while telling yourself your time will come later. But later is a myth.
You deserve a life that excites you. A life where the people around you are cheering, challenging, and inspiring you to keep becoming the most ambitious version of yourself. You are allowed to want more. You are allowed to outgrow environments that no longer fit.
A year from now, I want you to be shocked by your own life in the best possible way. So proud of who you became that you cannot even recognize the person who almost convinced you to play small.
