SMS Career Co-Pilot by Scott Bond
By opting in to receive SMS messages from Signal, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the service.
Signal is an AI-powered SMS career coaching service operated by Scott Bond (thescottbond.com). Signal delivers personalized career coaching, daily check-ins, goal tracking with scheduled follow-ups and reminders you set during your conversations, and two-way SMS coaching conversations powered by artificial intelligence trained on Scott Bond's career coaching content and frameworks.
Signal is not a licensed counseling or therapy service. It is a career coaching tool intended to supplement, not replace, professional advice. Users should use their own judgment when applying Signal's guidance to their specific career situations.
To use Signal, you must:
By using Signal, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
Signal communicates via SMS text messages. By providing your phone number and opting in to Signal, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Signal at the number you provide. Your consent is not a condition of purchase.
How you can opt in:
When you opt in, we record the timestamp and content of the activation-code text from your phone (which serves as your affirmative SMS opt-in), and we rely on Stripe’s checkout records, which include the IP address used during your payment session, as supporting evidence of consent. This combined consent record is retained as described in our Privacy Policy and serves as evidence of your affirmative opt-in under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive a daily morning message, a weekly Friday review, and check-in or reminder messages you schedule with Signal in conversation, plus responses to messages you send. You may also receive an occasional check-in if you have not texted Signal in a while, an occasional feedback survey (a few times per year), and occasional service announcements. Each proactive message type can be disabled individually (text MORNING OFF, FRIDAY OFF, or FOLLOWUPS OFF; MORNING OFF also disables inactivity check-ins), or text STOP to end all messages.
Message & data rates: Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply.
To opt out: Text STOP to the Signal number at any time. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages.
For help: Text HELP to the Signal number, or email scott@thescottbond.com.
Supported carriers include but are not limited to: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost Mobile, Cricket, MetroPCS, US Cellular, and other major US carriers. Carrier support is not guaranteed for all carriers.
Signal is offered as a paid subscription service. Subscription details, including current pricing and billing frequency, are displayed at thescottbond.com/signal at the time you subscribe.
Auto-renewal disclosure. Signal is a paid, automatically renewing subscription service. By completing checkout, you authorize Scott Bond, doing business as thescottbond.com, to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the price and billing frequency disclosed at checkout. Your subscription will continue and renew automatically until you cancel it. Each renewal will be charged at the then-current price as disclosed to you.
Free trials. If your subscription includes a free trial, the trial length and the price you will be charged afterward are disclosed at checkout. A valid payment method is required to start the trial, and your payment method will be charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before the trial period expires. We send a reminder before your trial ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial through the customer portal and you will not be charged.
One free trial per person. The free trial is available to first-time users only. Because Signal is a text-message service, your eligibility is tied to your mobile phone number, which is your unique identity for the service. If your phone number has previously been used to start a Signal free trial, you are not eligible for another free trial, regardless of the email address or payment method you use when you sign up again. If you cancel and later resubscribe, or otherwise sign up again after a prior trial, your paid subscription begins immediately and your payment method is charged at the start of that subscription, with no additional free trial period.
How to cancel. You can cancel your subscription at any time, online and with minimal steps, through the Stripe customer portal. The link to your customer portal is included in every Signal email and is also available at thescottbond.com/signal-account. You may also cancel by emailing scott@thescottbond.com and we will process the cancellation within two business days.
Cancellation effect. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Signal through the end of that period. No further charges will be made after cancellation unless you choose to resubscribe.
Refund policy. All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We do not issue partial refunds for unused time within a billing period. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at scott@thescottbond.com within seven days of the charge and we will review your request in good faith.
Failed payments. If a renewal charge fails, Stripe will automatically retry the charge over a brief period. If payment remains unsuccessful, your subscription will be paused and your access to Signal will be revoked until payment is updated. You can update your payment method at any time through the Stripe customer portal at thescottbond.com/signal-account.
Pricing changes. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days advance notice of any price change via SMS or email and will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.
State-specific notices. California residents: Under California Business and Professions Code Section 17602, you have the right to cancel your subscription at any time, without penalty, through the cancellation methods described above. New York residents: Under New York General Business Law Section 527-a, you acknowledge that you have received clear and conspicuous notice of the recurring nature of your subscription and the cancellation procedures, and that you have provided affirmative consent to these terms at checkout.
You agree to use Signal only for lawful personal career coaching purposes. You agree not to:
We reserve the right to terminate your access to Signal without refund if you violate these terms.
